Pastor Terrence Autry

Pastor Terrence Autry was born in 1961 in Los Angeles, California. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Alabama in 1983 with a Business degree in Accounting. During his senior year at Alabama, Terrence Autry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. After graduation, Pastor Autry worked in the aerospace industry for five years, during which time he obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from California State – Dominguez Hills. With his M.B.A. in hand, Pastor Autry then joined a major marketing firm where he repeatedly earned top salesperson awards and recognition.

In spite of all of these accomplishments, Pastor Autry felt the Lord leading him in a different direction from the business world. In March of 1989, he accepted his call to the preaching ministry and preached his first sermon the following April. In September of 1989, he married the beautiful Ms. Lisa Miller. A year later, the two moved from Los Angeles to Dallas, Texas, where Pastor Autry entered Dallas Theological Seminary. In May of 1994, Pastor Autry graduated with honors from DTS with a Master of Theology degree.

In June of 1991, Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas hired Pastor Autry as its Pastor of Youth & Christian Education, under its dynamic Senior Pastor, Frederick Douglas Haynes, III. Pastor Autry subsequently was promoted to the additional position of Assistant Pastor. During his 6 ½ year tenure at Friendship-West, Pastor Autry developed the Crossroads ministry for youth, developed the new member orientation curriculum, taught Wednesday evening Bible study, provided marital and family counseling, among other areas of ministry.

In October of 1997, the Lord led Pastor Autry to minister outside of Friendship-West. Eirene Christian Fellowship was born shortly thereafter. As the Senior Pastor, Pastor Autry, a/k/a “Pastor T,” has led Eirene for over nine years of dynamic ministry and growth. In June 2003, he entered Fuller Theological Seminary to begin work on his Doctorate of Ministry degree.

Pastor Autry has been married to his best friend, Lisa, for over 18 years. They have two energetic sons, ages 15 and 11. Pastor T also loves the game of basketball at all levels, and is a die-hard Laker fan. Most important of all, Pastor Autry is a man of faith who loves the Lord his God with all of his heart, with all of his soul, with all of his mind, and with all of his strength.
