Spiritual Maturity
Many will agree that there is a telling difference between making children and rearing children. Unfortunately, today's single parenting rates are skyrocketing off the charts because our society chooses to divorce the process of having children from rearing children. In a similar vein, churches expend an exorbitant amount of energy making converts instead of rearing converts. This does not mean we shelf the ministry of evangelism. It does means, however, that the church must partner evangelism with discipleship, stimulating spiritual growth in new and growing converts (Mt. 28:18-20). Just as it is natural process of life to grow to physical maturity, it is also a supernatural process of life to grow to spiritual maturity. Let us take advantage of the resources offered here and grow to our destined maturity.
